The MGTD program provides the opportunity to move from careers at managerial and operational levels to positions dealing high-level policy creation and implementation. Prepare yourself for roles which consider the complex relations between globalization, international politics, technology, and global development.

 

Understand the role technology and development play in the context of conflict zones and war. Through case study analysis, gain comprehensive insights into the global politics of security, the structure of international and multinational security institutions and actors, such as nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), the United Nations Security Council, peacekeeping missions, regional organizations (e.g., NATO, the EU, and others). Study the historical background and political economy of the international system as you examine national political development and the impact of a changing international order.

Degree Routes and ASU Pathways

Dual-degree options make top-quality education accessible to Ukrainian students at AUK. You have the opportunity to gain diplomas from both American University Kyiv and Arizona State University. You can also choose to study on campus in the US or online at Arizona State University.

AUK Degree

After one and a half years of successful study at AUK, students are awarded an AUK Master's degree in Global Technology & Development.

Dual Degree (AUK+ASU)

This program supports Dual degrees via model 1+1: one year studying at AUK and one year studying at ASU, either online or on Campus in the US. Upon graduation, students receive a Master's degree from AUK and a Master's degree from ASU.

ASU Pathways

As a Master of Global Technology & Development student at AUK, you can gain the Dual Master's degrees: a Master's degree from AUK and a Master's degree from ASU. Students of MGTD should be prepared to apply to ASU during the first year of study (the 2nd semester of study at AUK). The study year at ASU will start in August 2024 (the 3rd semester of study).

Tuition fees and scholarships

Annual tuition is $9,000. War-time scholarship is available (40% for 2023-2024, 20% for 2024-2025 academic years).

Apply to AUK

Congratulations! This is your first step toward admission to AUK. To access the registration form, you will need to create a personal applicant’s account. Please note that the registration form must be filled out in English. You will also need to upload documents, a resume in English and write a motivation letter.

Pass AUK’s assessment and receive scholarship options

Get ready for an assessment of program-related knowledge and experience in the form of tests, open questions, and video-answers. After which, we will offer successful applicants a place on the program, introduce scholarship options, and provide information on the next steps.

Sign the contract with AUK

To complete the enrollment process, you need to choose our competitive offer at the EDBO, provide the necessary official documents (passport, educational document, etc.). After that, you will receive enrollment confirmation and will be able to sign educational and financial contracts.
