AUK President Dan Rice had the honor of attending the world's most important educational and learning technology gathering, the ASU GSV Summit, organized by Arizona State University and Global Silicon Valley in San Diego.
The panel session, Bridging Global Learning Gaps Through Strategic Partnerships, focused on addressing heterogeneous learner needs across different regions worldwide through strategic partnerships, brought together a stellar set of panelists from both the US and abroad: AUK President Dan Rice, Melanie Weaver Barnett, Executive Director of UNICON - The International University Consortium for Executive Education, Alejtin Berisha, CEO of UNI- Universum International College and Dr. Battinto L. Batts Jr., Dean and Professor at the Arizona State University - Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
During the session, Dan Rice focused on the significant role of strategic partnerships in AUK’s development strategy. In particular, he noted:
“Strategic partnerships are something that's very near and dear to my heart and we could never have done what we've done in Ukraine if it wasn't for the strategic partnership with Arizona State University and Cintana. You can't start a university from scratch without a partnership.
Our long-term goal is to transform higher education in Ukraine. That's a very lofty goal in the midst of a war, but I believe we're doing it, and we're doing many things through partnerships. We have partnered with the Ukrainian Veterans Foundation and started the first Scholarship Fund for children and spouses of Fallen heroes. We are working on corporate partnerships here in the US and have partnered with many US leading companies which will be providing paid internships for our students who will get a real work experience in the United States. We want to bring the best of American education to Ukraine, and we want to bring Ukraine to the world”.
