What programs does AUK offer?

AUK offers Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in Fall 2023. For undergraduate students, AUK offers BS in Business Administration, Global Management, Software Engineering, Marketing Science and Data Science. For postgraduate students, AUK offers MS in Global Management, Global Technology&Development, Technology Leadership&AI, and Software Engineering. Over time, AUK will grow to offer programs in engineering, health sciences, architecture and design, and law.

How to enroll in American University Kyiv?

Requirements for admission to bachelor's programs:

  • Completed secondary education
  • Good level of English: B2 (TOEFL internet based: 56 – 78, IELTS Academic: 5.5 – 6.0, Duolingo English test: 80 – 119)
  • Motivation letter
  • Short self-presentation video in English
  • National Multidisciplinary Test result: for all programs – minimum score 140, foreign language (English) 150+, for Data Science and Software Engineering programs additionally math 150+

Requirements for admission to master's programs:

  • Bachelor/Master’s degree
  • Good level of English: B2+ (TOEFL internet based: from 80 and above; IELTS Academic: from 6.0; PTE: from 60 and above; Duolingo: from 100 and above)
  • Good Motivation letter
  • CV in English
  • Work experience (2+ years preferred)
  • Online written assessment

 

What is the tuition fee?

Annual tuition for Bachelor’s programs is $8,000.

To all admitted Bachelor students in Fall 2023, we offer guaranteed scholarships:

  • 50% for Year 1
  • 50% for Year 2

Annual tuition for Master’s programs is $9,000.

Fall 2023 Master’s students will also be offered guaranteed scholarship:

  • 40% for Year 1
  • 20% for Year 2

What does “Powered by ASU” mean?

“Powered by ASU” means developing a deep partnership to be able to do something transformational. The deep partnership includes having access to faculty, resources, and curriculum for hundreds of degree programs; opening potential pathways to accelerated master’s and dual degree programs; development of joint research and training projects; and harnessing the knowledge and power of what ASU is doing through the creation of cooperative research initiatives. Please note that ASU and AUK are distinct institutions that are each separately responsible for their own accreditation and enrolled students.

How will students benefit from AUK’s collaboration with ASU?

Through the collaboration with ASU, AUK aims to deliver differentiated student experience through:

  • Hybrid and blended learning supported by ASU’s state-of-the-art academic resources.
  • Pathways for dual degrees, accelerated master’s degrees, certificates, and immersion programs for qualified students at ASU and other global universities which are part of the Cintana Alliance.
  • Student mobility programs.
  • Access to co-teaching learning experiences.
  • English language instruction that will prepare students to express themselves fluently in English in both their academic, social, and professional lives.
Do I earn a degree from ASU when I enroll at AUK?

No, ASU and AUK are separate institutions which means AUK students are not enrolled at ASU. In order to earn degrees from both AUK and ASU, you must be enrolled in a dual degree program which requires that you apply to and meet ASU’s admission requirements.

Will there be faculty from ASU coming to teach at AUK?

Co-teaching and co-learning are important elements that AUK intends to nurture through this collaboration. We will work on developing opportunities not only with ASU but with other universities across the globe. AUK students will be able to attend classes conducted by faculty from ASU and other universities, either in person or online.

Are there scholarships or other ways to reduce the cost of pursuing a degree at Arizona State University?

AUK is developing dual degree and accelerated master’s pathways with ASU. Approved programs will have coursework shared across ASU and AUK meaning AUK students will be able to complete their ASU degree in a shorter period of time and at a lower cost than if they had pursued an ASU degree in Arizona. Awarding of scholarships for programs at ASU will be based on ASU’s internal guidelines.

Where is American University Kyiv located?

American University Kyiv (AUK) is located in the historic River Port Building on Poshtova Square along the right bank of the Dnipro River, in the heart of Kyiv. The River Port building that was built in 1961 sat vacant for five years. By bringing this wonderful building back to its former glory, AUK provides students the opportunity to study in a beautiful historic location, equipped with the latest digitally enhanced learning features and education technology. This state-of-the-art campus offers students from Ukraine and around the world a truly unique place to learn and interact with fellow international students, which does not exist anywhere else in Ukraine.

AUK students are expected to be able to return to offline learning on campus in September 2023.

Will American University Kyiv (AUK) offer internships as part of the curriculum?

Internships will be offered as part of the curriculum for many of our programs. Internships and job shadowing represent an opportunity for students to experience true immersion into the professional world of their area of study. Internships not only represent an opportunity for practice, but provide a complete and holistic learning experience for the student. American University Kyiv has many industry partners. Along with the community and Arizona State University, AUK will be actively engaged in providing relevant, meaningful and mutually beneficial internship experiences for our students.
