“Powered by ASU” means developing a deep partnership to be able to do something transformational. The deep partnership includes having access to faculty, resources, and curriculum for hundreds of degree programs; opening potential pathways to accelerated master’s and dual degree programs; development of joint research and training projects; and harnessing the knowledge and power of what ASU is doing through the creation of cooperative research initiatives. Please note that ASU and AUK are distinct institutions that are each separately responsible for their own accreditation and enrolled students.
Through the collaboration with ASU, AUK aims to deliver differentiated student experience through:
- Hybrid and blended learning supported by ASU’s state-of-the-art academic resources.
- Pathways for dual degrees, accelerated master’s degrees, certificates, and immersion programs for qualified students at ASU and other global universities which are part of the Cintana Alliance.
- Student mobility programs.
- Access to co-teaching learning experiences.
- English language instruction that will prepare students to express themselves fluently in English in both their academic, social, and professional lives.
No, ASU and AUK are separate institutions which means AUK students are not enrolled at ASU. In order to earn degrees from both AUK and ASU, you must be enrolled in a dual degree program which requires that you apply to and meet ASU’s admission requirements.
Co-teaching and co-learning are important elements that AUK intends to nurture through this collaboration. We will work on developing opportunities not only with ASU but with other universities across the globe. AUK students will be able to attend classes conducted by faculty from ASU and other universities, either in person or online.
AUK is developing dual degree and accelerated master’s pathways with ASU. Approved programs will have coursework shared across ASU and AUK meaning AUK students will be able to complete their ASU degree in a shorter period of time and at a lower cost than if they had pursued an ASU degree in Arizona. Awarding of scholarships for programs at ASU will be based on ASU’s internal guidelines.
Internships will be offered as part of the curriculum for many of our programs. Internships and job shadowing represent an opportunity for students to experience true immersion into the professional world of their area of study. Internships not only represent an opportunity for practice, but provide a complete and holistic learning experience for the student. American University Kyiv has many industry partners. Along with the community and Arizona State University, AUK will be actively engaged in providing relevant, meaningful and mutually beneficial internship experiences for our students.
