Who is it for?
The program is designed for Grade 10–11 students who:
- plan to apply to AUK or another English-medium university;
- want to improve their English to B2+ level;
- want to focus specifically on academic English, rather than just General English;
- want to become more confident speaking, writing, and studying in English;
- want to understand what studying in a university environment is like before they apply.
Learning Format
Learning Format
24 weeks of preparation. The AUK Prep Dnipro program is delivered primarily online, with selected classes and meetings held in person at the AUK Dnipro Campus.
NMT English Preparation
14 weeks. A separate intensive part of the program fully focused on NMT preparation.
3 English classes per week, focusing on the NMT format and tasks. During this part of the program, Speaking Club sessions are not held — all three weekly classes are dedicated to NMT preparation.
Academic English
10 weeks.
2 English classes per week
Systematic development of academic English skills: speaking, writing, reading, and listening.
1 Speaking Club per week
Additional speaking practice with a native English speaker to develop fluency, build confidence, and overcome the language barrier.

Who is the AUK Prep program for?
AUK Prep is designed for 10th- and 11th-grade students who want to improve their English, prepare for studying in an English-speaking academic environment, and receive structured preparation for the English NMT.
What level of English is required to join the program?
An English level of B1 or higher is recommended for the program. AUK Prep helps students strengthen their language skills and prepare to use English confidently in their future university studies.
What is the study format?
The program lasts 24 academic weeks and is delivered primarily online, with selected classes and meetings held in person at the AUK Dnipro Campus.
The Academic English part includes 2 English classes and 1 Speaking Club with a native English speaker per week.
The NMT preparation part includes 2 classes per week and is primarily delivered online, with selected classes and meetings held in person at the AUK Dnipro Campus.
What do students learn in the English classes?
The Academic English part of the program develops all four key language skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
Students work on vocabulary, grammar, written and spoken assignments, and other skills essential for studying confidently in English.
Does the program include NMT preparation?
Yes. 14 weeks of the program are dedicated to a separate intensive NMT English Prep module.
During this period, students have 2 English classes per week, fully focused on NMT preparation, including the test format, typical tasks, and the language skills required for successful performance.
Speaking Club sessions are not held during these 14 weeks.
What is Speaking Club?
Speaking Club is a weekly conversation practice session with a native English speaker.
It gives students the opportunity to regularly practice real-life English, become more familiar with natural spoken language, develop fluency, and gain confidence in expressing their ideas in English.
Speaking Club is held once a week during the Academic English part of the program.
Is AUK Prep only for students planning to apply to AUK?
No. The academic English skills and NMT preparation provided by the program are valuable regardless of which university a student plans to attend.
At the same time, for students considering AUK, the program provides additional preparation for future university studies in English.
Do participants receive a certificate?
Yes. Upon successful completion of the program, participants receive an AUK Prep Certificate, which is taken into consideration during the AUK admissions process.
When does the program take place?
The program consists of two main study periods, with a winter break in between:
October 12 – December 19 — Academic English
December 20 – January 10 — Winter Break
January 11 – April 17 — NMT English Prep
