Which participation format should you choose?
On campus at AUK
Work in a group, connect with your peers, meet speakers and experts in person, and experience university life firsthand. Participants will also enjoy snacks and receive gifts from AUK.
Online
If you are unable to attend on campus, you can join the program remotely. Take part in the main Career Compass sessions and activities from any convenient location.

Who is the program designed for?
Career Compass is designed for high school students who want to better understand their strengths, explore career opportunities, and make a more informed decision about their future education.
Do I need to know which field I want to study?
No. The program is particularly suitable for participants who have not yet decided on their future direction and would like to explore different opportunities.
Do I need to be planning to apply to AUK?
No. Career Compass provides valuable career guidance as a standalone program.
At the same time, participants will have an opportunity to experience the AUK university environment.
Is the program the same for students in every grade?
The content of each weekend is tailored to the age and needs of students in the respective grade.
Registered participants will receive the detailed program separately.
When will the upcoming weekends take place?
- Grade 11: October 17–18, 2026;
- Grade 10:November 7–8, 2026;
- Grade 9: November 21–22, 2026.
Can parents receive a separate consultation?
Yes. After registration, the AUK team can provide additional information to the participant and one parent or legal guardian.
How much does it cost to participate?
Participation in the program is free of charge.
Do I need to attend both days of the program?
Yes. Career Compass is designed as a two-day consecutive program. We recommend attending the entire program, as the sessions and practical activities are interconnected and complement one another.
What language are the sessions conducted in, and is English proficiency required?
The main part of the program will be conducted in Ukrainian. Some materials or activities may be in English.
No specific level of English proficiency is required to participate.
Does submitting an application guarantee a place?
No. After you complete the form, the AUK team will contact you, provide further details, and confirm your participation. The number of places in each group is limited.
Where and when will Career Compass take place?
In-person participation will take place on the American University Kyiv campus at 3 Poshtova Square, Kyiv.
The AUK team will inform registered participants of the exact start and finish times after their participation has been confirmed.
Can I choose between online and in-person participation?
Yes. During registration, you can select your preferred format — online or in person on the AUK campus.
Whenever possible, we recommend participating in person, as it offers more opportunities for face-to-face communication, meeting speakers and fellow participants, and experiencing the university environment. In-person participants will also receive snacks and gifts from AUK. If you are unable to come to campus, you can join the main program online.
