American University Kyiv (AUK) is the first private university to bring American higher education standards to Ukraine through its partnership with Arizona State University (ASU), one of the biggest and the most innovative universities in the U.S.
Founded in 2022, AUK offers Bachelor's and Master's degrees in management, business and information technologies through its two schools - the School of Management and EPAM School of Digital Technologies. We provide English courses to school students and professionals and have an extensive portfolio of Corporate education programs that can be customized to the individual business needs.
AUK’s approach features a learner-centered curriculum, deep ties to industry and career needs, and a digital-first design, leveraging ASU’s innovative learning models. Students at AUK study in English under the guidance of international professors and have a unique opportunity to continue their studies online or offline at ASU to get both American and Ukrainian diplomas.
My internship as a software engineer at Casey's in Ankeny, Iowa, was an amazing experience that went beyond just building my technical skills. I had the chance to work with some incredibly talented and supportive people who helped me grow both professionally and personally. The collaborative environment made it easy to form meaningful connections, which I’ll always value. Living in the Midwest, especially in such a beautiful state, gave me a whole new perspective on life here—it’s something I’ll carry with me forever.
Additionally, I had the unique opportunity to visit Washington, D.C., where I met key people on Capitol Hill and at the Pentagon. Engaging with such influential figures was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience that broadened my understanding of government and defense. These meetings gave me a rare glimpse into the inner workings of U.S. leadership, something that has deeply impacted my outlook. This internship, along with the D.C. experience, has been a key moment in my career journey, and I’m excited about what comes next.

One of the best bits of advice I’ve ever received in life is that growth is never convenient, it’s scary and uncomfortable. And when my first day of the internship came, it was exactly what I felt. But let me tell you it was the best day of my life so far, even if I didn’t know it or realize it at that time. The knowledge, the experience, and especially the people that I met here are immeasurable in value. Every experience, and emotion that I have been through here is priceless and really special to me. Therefore, it is imprinted in my heart and will be cherished forever.
