AUK invites you to the Research Seminar “Geometry and Machine Learning” with Jürgen Jost, Emeritus Director, Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences (Leipzig), External Member, Santa Fe Institute for the Sciences of Complexity (New Mexico, USA).

Jürgen Jost has made important contributions to a wide range of mathematical fields. He is a founding director of the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences in Leipzig and has also built up an internationally highly recognized group for interdisciplinary research on complex systems.

His interdisciplinary contributions range from the conceptual foundations of molecular and evolutionary biology to information theoretical approaches to neuroscience and the theory of cognition and general system theoretical considerations.
