AUK Presidential Award: Congratulations to Iryna Kravchuk and Nazar Lutsenko!

Every year, American University Kyiv honors students who make exceptional contributions to the university’s development, actively engage in civic life, and inspire the community. The recipients of the Presidential Award are selected by the students themselves through a nomination process. This year, the honors go to Iryna Kravchuk (3rd-year Global Management student) and Nazar Lutsenko (2nd-year Global Management student)!

Iryna played an active role in expanding the Student Ambassador’s Program, introducing prospective students to the opportunities at AUK. Nazar has been deeply involved in major university initiatives, collaborating closely with Marketing, PR, Enrollment, and Academic teams.

This year’s ceremony had a unique backstory. Due to security considerations, the event was held online, and the production facility crafting the crystal trophies was damaged in a missile attack, leaving Nazar’s award damaged. However, we fully restored it. Iryna and Nazar recently met in person with AUK President Dan Rice to connect, share their experiences, and receive their awards.

"I want our first-year students to start their university journey with the understanding that they have the chance to create the best years of Ukraine. So be strong for yourselves, for the people around you, and for those who will come after you," noted Iryna Kravchuk.

"The situation we're living in sets us in a position where we must dream, and we must take the maximum from our days. We need to exist, we need to develop, and we need not to forget that we are the people who directly impact the brightness of Ukrainian future," shared Nazar Lutsenko.

Warmest congratulations to Iryna and Nazar on this well-deserved recognition! Thank you for your energy, leadership, and dedication to the AUK community!
