New Horizons of Internationalization: AUK Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Sorsogon State University (Philippines)

American University Kyiv (AUK) continues to steadily expand its network of international academic partners. On June 24, 2026, the official signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between AUK and Sorsogon State University (SorSU, Philippines) took place in Indonesia.

The document was signed by Prof. Jacek Leskow, Rector of American University Kyiv, and Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, President of SorSU.

This strategic agreement lays a solid foundation for long-term academic, scientific, cultural, and institutional cooperation between the two higher education institutions.

Developing partnerships in Southeast Asia opens up unique opportunities for the university's global positioning. In turn, SorSU’s leadership noted that the collaboration with AUK is part of their internationalization strategy aimed at achieving high standards of academic excellence and research productivity.

The signing of this memorandum marks another important step for AUK toward building a global university that integrates Ukrainian education into the worldwide academic space and creates new opportunities for our students and faculty across different continents.
