Biography

His research interests encompass mixed-signal (analog, digital, RF) electronics, VLSI circuit and system design, wireless communication circuits and systems, ultra-wideband transceiver technologies, and low-power applications in both telecommunications (e.g., impulse radio ultra-wideband, ultra-low-power sensor nodes, RFIDs, wireless power) and biomedical fields.

Okan Zafer Batur is a guest lecturer at the American University of Kyiv. In 2015, he obtained the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in electronics at Boğaziçi University. Since 2015, he has been an assistant professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Electronics at Istanbul Bilgi University. His research focused on the VLSI and RF IC design of robust ultra-wideband transceivers. Dr. Batur has participated in various Turkish research projects, including those funded by TÜBİTAK and DPT, aimed at designing circuits and systems for communication electronics.Okan Zafer Batur is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and vice-chairman of the IEEE CAS Turkey Chapter and works for several IEEE journals as a reviewer. He is affiliated with İstanbul Bilgi University Integrated Systems Research Group.
