Biography

Roman Sheremeta's scientific research concerns experimental economics and game theory, with applications to behavioral economics, conflict resolution, strategic negotiations, and the organization of industry, labor, and the state economy.
He is the author of more than 70 articles published in leading scientific journals in economics, business, psychology, and political science. The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, NBC News, NPR, and Science Daily are top media outlets.
Mr. Sheremeta has worked as a member of the editorial boards of the Journal of Economic Psychology, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, Games, and Journal of Behavioral and Experimental Economics.

Roman Sheremeta is the founding rector and associate professor of the American University of Kyiv.
He graduated from Prykarpattia University, named after Vasyl Stefanyk, majoring in "Jurisprudence" and received the scientific degree of Doctor of Philosophy at Purdue University (USA).

Roman Sheremet has garnered numerous academic and teaching awards, including the 2018 Smith Ascending Scholar Prize for an 'emerging genius' in the social sciences and the Emerging Impact Awards in 2015 and 2019 from the Weatherhead School of Management. His global impact is further underscored by his recognition as the best economist of Ukrainian origin according to Forbes in 2015, the best young economist in the world according to the IDEAS rating in 2018, and among the best 40 professors under 40 according to Poets and Quants in 2019.
