Biography

Viktor Levandovskyy is a visiting professor at the American University of Kyiv.
He graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University and the University of Kaiserslautern.
He received the scientific Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics (with honors) from the Technical University of Kaiserslautern and the Doctor of Sciences - RWTH Aachen (Germany) qualification.
V. Levandovskyy is the author of over 55 articles published in leading scientific journals in computer science, computer algebra, and applied mathematics. Together with his collaborators, he developed two projects of specialized high-performance open-source software with unique properties.
Victor Levandovskyy was an Invited lecturer at several universities, a key speaker at conferences, including ACA (Applications of Computer Algebra) and ISSAC (International Symposium on Symbolic and Algebraic Computation), and a lecturer at international summer schools (Austria et al., etc.). V. Levandovskyi's various scientific cooperation continues in Kaiserslautern, Aachen, Kassel (Germany), and Linz (Austria).
A Maple Transactions Journal editorial board member, V. Levandovskyy was twice the editor of a special issue of the Journal of Symbolic Computation.
V. Levandovskyy has received research awards, including the 2004 Richard D. Jenks Memorial Award for Outstanding Achievement in Computer Algebra Software Development, awarded to the team behind the Singular computer algebra system, and numerous grants, including those funded by the German DFG, DAAD, and the American CRDF.
