Biography
Research

Dr. Marie completed her PhD at the Max-Planck-Institute of Mathematics in the Sciences, Leipzig in the subject of digital humanities. The topic of her PhD combined questions in Cognitive Linguistics and philosophy of language with network-based data analysis.

Before that, she studied Physics at the University of Heidelberg, focusing on questions of information theory and model inference in the context of cosmological models.

Marie's current research interests continue to be the intersection of formal model and figurative metaphoric thinking in epistemology, language and also in decision making processes under uncertainty. She is as well interested in understanding recent transformation processes in Ukraine in a systematic understanding, including the cultural, social and political dimensions.
