Research

Rens Wilderom is a lecturer at the American University Kyiv, Faculty of Management.
He received a master's degree in cultural sociology (with honors) from the University of Amsterdam.

In 2017, he was invited to be a Ph.D. researcher at the Faculty of Sociology at the University of Toronto for five months.
Rens Wilderom is writing blogs about Python programming on his website.

Rens Wilderom's research projects are quite different at first glance (dance and sustainable food), united by a shared focus on exploring the interaction between social change movements and prominent thought leaders who shape innovation. His research uses qualitative and quantitative methods and draws primarily on the cultural sociology and organizational change literature. He is working on his PhD thesis, Genres, Field Networks, and Institutional Change: The Development of Dance in the USA, Great Britain and the Netherlands, 1985-2005, at the Department of Sociology, University of Amsterdam.
