Savaş Yıldırım received his bachelor's and master's degrees in Computer Engineering from Istanbul Technical University. He then did his PhD in Natural Language Processing (NLP) at Trakya University. He was a postdoctoral fellow at Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen. Currently, he is a full-time faculty member (Associate Professor) at Istanbul Bilgi University and a visiting lecturer at Toronto Metropolitan University and American University Kyiv.

Currently, he is mainly doing research on Large Language Models (LLM) such as Feed Forward Neural Networks, Transformers, GPT and so on. He is currently working on topics such as Low-shot Learning, Active Learning, Efficiency in LLM, etc.
