On April 2, a presentation of the scientific monograph “Ontologically-oriented content management systems for information and educational Web portals” by Sergiy Tytenko, Deputy Dean of the EPAM School of Digital Technologies, was held at the AUK campus.
This monograph focuses on developing models and methods for managing educational content based on an ontological approach. The book examines how to structure, model, and automate building information and educational systems that fulfill contemporary educational standards.
“Ontologically-oriented content management systems for information and educational Web portals” is the first scientific book published by our university. Although for American University Kyiv this is the second book edition, which is available in print to users of the AUK Library and specialized libraries in Ukraine.
The presentation of Sergiy Tytenko’s scientific monograph was attended by the author’s students, colleagues from the AUK, and representatives of the academic community of Kyiv - Volodymyr Haidarzhi, Head of the Educational and Research Laboratory for Computer Modeling in Energy at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, and Oleksandr Gagarin, Associate Professor at the Department of Software Engineering in Energy at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
At the meeting, Sergiy Tytenko briefly shared the main ideas set out in his monograph, answered questions from the audience and signed a number of copies of his book for colleagues.
