Academic News: Bilal Yamak joined the AUK team!

We are excited to share that Bilal Riad Yamak has joined the AUK team as the Head of the Student Life Office at the Kyiv Campus!

Starting in July 2025, Bilal brings his international expertise in youth development, student engagement, and program coordination across academic, nonprofit, and governmental sectors.

He holds a Master’s in Peace Studies from the American University of Rome and a Bachelor’s in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from George Mason University. Bilal’s impressive background includes roles with the U.S. Department of Justice, USAID, and the UN. During his time with the U.S. Peace Corps in Ukraine, he successfully launched youth-focused initiatives and developed inclusive student programs.

At AUK, Bilal will spearhead student engagement efforts, support student organizations, and coordinate events and services that promote an inclusive and supportive campus environment.
