AUK and the National Psychological Association (NPA) have signed a Memorandum of Strategic Partnership. The document lays the foundation for joint initiatives in the field of psychological education, science, research and practice.
The Memorandum was signed by AUK President Dan Rice and professor Oleg Burlachuk, the President of the NPA.
The National Psychological Association (NPA) is a leading association of professionals in the field of psychology in Ukraine, which develops professional standards, popularizes scientific approaches, promotes the integration of Ukrainian psychology into the global context and supports international relations. Among the achievements of the NPA are membership in the European Federation of Psychological Associations (EFPA), participation in the creation of national standards for psychological education and active cooperation with the public and state sectors.
Dan Rice, AUK President,
“We are happy to start cooperation with NPA — an organization that has a powerful international level and a real impact on the growth of psychological science and practice in Ukraine. This year, we are launching a bachelor's program in psychology, understanding the huge need for such experts in Ukraine nowadays.”
Oleg Burlachuk, President of the NPA,
“Today, we see an unprecedented increase in demand for everything related to psychological health. Digital tools are becoming especially relevant — from teletherapy to the AI usage, VR/AR in the treatment of PTSD, phobias or anxiety disorders. The demand for the involvement of psychologists in business, marketing, and personnel management is growing. At the same time, military psychology in Ukraine is gaining special significance. There is also interest in cross-cultural psychology and evidence-based therapy methods. This is a powerful challenge and opportunity for our profession — and we are glad to be moving in this direction together with AUK.”
The cooperation between the NPA and AUK will be an important step in strengthening the academic and practical capacity of the psychological field in Ukraine.
