On December 9, American University Kyiv hosted AUK Talks with Peter Gaudet, an investor with over 30 years of experience on Wall Street, President at Campfire Capital, and Principal of DDCues LLC.
Peter Gaudet was invited to meet with students and faculty by Dan Rice, AUK President, who also moderated the event.
The meeting focused on discussions about venture capital, entrepreneurship, and the real challenges of the startup environment. It took the form of a roundtable, where students had the opportunity to ask direct questions and hear honest answers from a practitioner with unique experience, ranging from service in the U.S. Army to leadership roles in leading financial institutions.
"Remember that in business and life, values should always come first. It is always worth staying on the bright side of life. Trust and reputation are key.
It’s crucial to keep in mind the significance of soft skills: being able to convey your thoughts convincingly, energize others and sell your ideas. Don't underestimate the significance of networking, as your classmates may become your future business partners", Peter Gaudet emphasized during the meeting.
