American University Kyiv is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. George Sales as Deputy Dean of the School of Business and Management at AUK Dnipro Campus

Dr. Sales brings more than two decades of experience in project management and management consulting, having held leadership and consulting roles with organizations including KPMG Consulting, ICOR Partners, Dynamic Research Corporation, and the World Bank. Throughout his career, he has led complex projects for U.S. federal agencies and international organizations, including the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, FEMA, and the U.S. Coast Guard, with assignments spanning the United States as well as Romania, Croatia, and Iraq.

He holds a Doctor of Professional Practice from Arizona State University, a Master of International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University. His doctoral research, Gender Imbalance and the Leadership Legitimacy Gap in Ukraine, examines how demographic shifts resulting from the war are reshaping leadership perceptions and the future talent pipeline in Ukraine.

As Deputy Dean, Dr. Sales will help lead the strategic growth of the School of Business and Management, advance curriculum innovation, oversee the development of new graduate programs in Organizational Leadership and Supply Chain Management, and strengthen partnerships between AUK and the business community.

Having previously served as a Visiting Professor at AUK in both Kyiv and Dnipro, Dr. Sales returns to the university with a deep commitment to student success and to helping prepare the next generation of business leaders who will contribute to Ukraine's long-term recovery and economic development.
