American University Kyiv is pleased to highlight the continued international academic engagement of Hanna Shvindina, Associate Professor at the School of Management, and her role in COIL initiatives.
Since 2019, Dr. Shvindina has been actively collaborating with Dipra Jha on a Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) initiative that has brought together students and faculty from multiple Ukrainian universities. This long-term partnership continues to foster international knowledge exchange in strategic management, international relations, and advanced approaches to competitive strategy, with a particular focus on coopetition.

Dr. Shvindina’s expertise in coopetition strategy was shaped through academic collaboration with leading European and U.S. research institutions. She worked closely with scholars from Montpellier Research in Management at the University of Montpellier, including Frédéric Le Roy, Paul Chiambaretto, and Anne-Sophie Fernandez. She later continued her research under the supervision of Professor Duffy at Purdue University, focusing on the underexplored link between coopetition strategies and human safety in complex global environments.
On February 5, a new cohort of students in the International Relations & Global Leadership course, supervised by Professor Dipra Jha at Washington State University, officially launched their academic journey with Dr. Shvindina’s seminar on Strategic Management in International Business.
American University Kyiv is proud to support COIL initiatives that contribute to global knowledge sharing and to the development of the next generation of responsible and globally minded leaders.
