Last week, as part of AUK students' meetings with industry leaders, an offline AUK Leadership, Strategy & Golf event was held with the participation of Sergii Voitsekhovskyi, Board Member of BGV Group Management, and AUK master's students and alumni.
During the meeting, Sergii Voitsekhovskyi expressed his vision for Ukraine's economic development today and in the future, as well as his approach to leader classification, the importance of business education, and what should be considered while studying in specific business programs.
In particular, he noted, "Today, Ukraine is not only an example of struggle for the world, but also of stability, particularly in business. We are a country of brave entrepreneurs, strong business processes, we are a country of effective leaders. In conditions of constant variables, there is no single recipe for what a leader and his strategy should be. Therefore, I personally believe in the power of different types of leadership. Managing a stable business requires one type of leader, a startup requires another, and an entrepreneur-leader who is just starting his own business can be completely different. There are situations when large companies need a visionary leader who will lead the team forward to the goal, in another situation companies need architect leaders who will build systems and processes in companies, or entrepreneurial leaders who are ready to take risks and become innovators. However, today, in my opinion, all of them are united by flexibility, ecosystemic thinking and sustainability."
In addition to discussing the role of strategy in management, participants got the opportunity to speak with the first AUK-ASU graduates and learn directly about their experience at the Thunderbird School of Global Management at ASU.
