This year’s 9th Emerging Researcher Forum 2026, organized by the National Bank of Ukraine, served as a premier platform for discussing the most pressing economic challenges of our time. The event brought together 17 emerging researchers from nine of Ukraine’s leading universities, including our own AUK students, who represented the university with distinction.

We are proud to highlight the contributions of our students:

  • Anastasiia Tsymbalista (3rd year, Business Administration), leading the research in collaboration with Sofiia Talakh, prepared an insightful report titled "From Impulse to Impact: Measuring Fiscal Impulse and Fiscal Multipliers in Ukraine." As Anastasiia emphasizes, "In wartime, fiscal policy has become more than just a survival tool; it is a vital instrument for macroeconomic stabilization. Understanding its real impact on economic resilience and Ukraine's future recovery is critical."
  • Nika Trubnikova (1st year, Global Finance) participated in the poster session, presenting her research on "Quantifying the Behavioral 'Patriotic Premium' in Ukraine's Wartime De-dollarization Strategy." Highlighting her findings, Nika explains, "We proved that patriotic motivation and seamless digital access to government bonds via Diia and mobile banking apps reduced currency substitution by 12.7% — an effect that cannot be explained by interest rates alone."

The quality of our students' work was highly recognized by the jury, with Nika Trubnikova winning the "Best Poster" award.

We are incredibly proud of how our AUK students bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world economic challenges, contributing to discussions that shape central bank policy and national financial stability.

Thank you to the organizers for providing such an impactful platform for intellectual discourse, and congratulations to our students for their hard work and dedication! Keep reaching for the stars!
