AUK student life is full of different events that unite students around a range of career-development-focused topics.
Such a meeting took place last week at AUK Campus, which gathered more than 100 students for an exclusive offline event for AUK students – “AUK Global Internship 2024. Sharing experiences”.
It was the first official event for AUK Global Internship Program, which was successfully launched in the summer of 2024, with a special panel discussion on career focus and useful advice from prominent HR experts in Ukraine.
Following the successful completion of the first cohort of the AUK Global Internship program in the United States and Great Britain, as well as the completion of the first online internships at Polish companies, it was an ideal opportunity to update the AUK student community on the program's development for 2024–2025 and to share more information about internship opportunities.
AUK President Dan Rice, who launched the AUK Global Internship program in 2024, stressed in his speech to the audience,
“This is a great chance for our students to hear from both interns who had recently returned from paid internships abroad, and from Ukraine's top companies – from the executives who lead Human Resources for DTEK, EPAM etc.
Our interns are so inspirational and professional, and the experiences they have are life-changing. This is mutually beneficial for the companies to hear the right message, so they will participate next summer, and for the other AUK students to be inspired to compete. We hope to have at least 200 paid internships in 2025 and grow the program to be a major pillar of the AUK Global Corporate Partnership program.”
AUK Internship Coordinator Khrystyna Ivanchuk, who introduced the students to the internship experience that AUK provides together with its international partners, highlighted, "Our interns embody the core values of the AUK Global Internship Program—professionalism, resilience, and pride in their heritage. Each of them has served as an ambassador for Ukraine, often becoming the first Ukrainian colleagues many at these companies had ever met. This program is not only about gaining work experience; it is a powerful cultural exchange."
On behalf of AUK team, we thank AUK students of the first cohort of Global Internship Program for their powerful presentations and unique firsthand experience! We also express our gratitude to Ukrainian HR experts, who joined the panel discussion and filled it with significant messages, insights, and tips for successful employment!
