AUK hosted the first "HR Meetups: Powered by AUK" for HR leaders and the business community

AUK hosted the first "HR Meetups: Powered by AUK" for HR leaders and the business community

On April 30, the historic building of AUK Campus at Postal Square hosted the first event within the new HR Meetups: Powered by AUK initiative — a joint project of IТ Ukraine Association and American University Kyiv.

This initiative aims to become a quarterly platform for deep discussions between HR leaders of Ukrainian IT companies and the academic community, where business, education, and societal challenges meet in an open exchange of experiences, ideas, and reflections.

The event brought together HRD and representatives of companies within the Association in an intimate, intellectual meeting format, with a focus on deep lectures and academic discussions.

The event was moderated by Oksana Rudiuk, AUK PR Director, who conducted a warm and professional meeting, as well as a tour of the AUK campus, immersing the guests in the building's history and the idea behind its transformation into an educational center.

During the event, Olga Balashova, Art historian, Curator, Media Theorist, and Candidate of philosophical sciences, shared stories about the River Port as an artistic symbol and a portal between different historical eras of Ukraine.

Volodymyr Vakhitov, Director of the Institute for Behavioral Studies at AUK, spoke about decision-making in times of uncertainty – how our consciousness operates during wartime, why, in uncertain conditions, we are more often guided by emotions rather than facts, how propaganda works, and how to restore objective perception amidst war and information noise.

The first HR Meetup: Powered by AUK was a great start to the new initiative, opening a space for the exchange of ideas and meaningful dialogue between HR professionals, educators, and the academic community.

This series of meetings aims to create a stable platform for interaction at the intersection of business, education, and societal transformation — in the format of quarterly meetings that inspire new solutions and partnerships, each with a new focus relevant to the challenges of the time.

Thank you IТ Ukraine Association for partnership, common vision and development of dialogue at the intersection of business, education and social transformations!
