As a part of the AUK Global internship program, AUK students have the unique opportunity, in addition to internships, to meet with distinguished speakers and leaders from respected organizations and companies in the United States.
Earlier this week, AUK interns visited the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and met with CISA Director Jen Easterly. Previously, AUK students had a chance to meet Director Easterly during an AUK Talks online meeting, where she gave a talk on “How are the world and the U.S. getting ready in the face of cyber threats?”
During this official visit, AUK and CISA discussed the strong collaboration and information sharing relationship with Ukraine that has helped both of our countries be more secure and resilient. Addressing the guests, Director Easterly emphasized that CISA is happy to be partners with and support Ukraine. Ukraine’s success in strengthening critical infrastructure resilience offers lessons and best practices everyone can learn from. CISA shares regular notifications with Ukrainian counterparts and, in turn, receives information that helps protect American critical infrastructure. The lessons learned from Ukraine’s resistance and resilience in the face of russian aggression serve as an invaluable example to the U.S.
We are very grateful to CISA Director Jen Easterly and staff for their warm welcome and strong dedication to Ukraine.
