AUK Leadership and Strategy Discussion event was held with the participation of Roman Sulzhyk, a financier with extensive work experience in the USA, Great Britain, Ukraine, and AUK students and alumni

Continuing the series of AUK students' meetings with industry leaders, an offline AUK Leadership, Strategy & Golf event took place on October 4 with the participation of Roman Sulzhyk, a financier with extensive work experience in the USA, Great Britain, Ukraine, ex-banker at JP Morgan, Deutsche Bank, and Liudmyla Dolhonovska, AUK Chief of Staff.

Addressing the graduates and students, Roman Sulzhyk noted,

"I spent a long time working for large corporations, but it isn't until I started my own projects that I realized how fundamentally different management approaches are in startups and big business. That's why I envy the young generation, which today has the opportunity to try their hand at completely different things, directions, and businesses. To learn how the business is built from the inside, either launch your own business or work for some time in large companies.

Accompany your diverse knowledge with people who match your values, but are opposite in terms of soft skills. Have someone on your staff who is adept at networking if you find it difficult. This is my secret to successful teams."

During the meeting, graduates and students also had the opportunity to talk with Liudmyla Dolhonovska, AUK Chief of Staff about her work as an Adviser on Strategic Communications to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine General Valerii Zaluzhnyi, 2021-2023.

Answering the question about the advantages of a team in which civilians and military work side by side, Liudmyla Dolhonovska emphasized, "It is a great advantage to have people with different experiences and visions in the same team. Thanks to such synergy better results are achieved."

We thank all for their active engagement and contribution to AUK community, as well as Taras Dumych, an AUK-ASU graduate and Managing Partner at Wolf Theiss, for arranging and moderating such an important meeting.
