AUK Leadership Club continues to introduce students and the AUK team to key sectors of the Ukrainian economy. This time, we had the privilege of hosting a representative of the largest oil and gas company in Ukraine – Ukrnafta.
Vasyl Bikus, Chief Operating Officer at Ukrnafta, delivered an enlightening talk on "Fuel Retail: How a Business Works That Everyone Sees but Almost No One Understands."
During the meeting, students gained insights into:

- What role does sales and customer behavior analytics play in forecasting demand?
- What career opportunities does fuel retail offer?
"The fuel retail business is not about 'selling a liter', but about 'keeping the customer longer'. A good COO is not someone who puts out fires, but someone who sees where the next one may occur. We need to focus not only on today's sales but also on how to create value for our clients at every stage of their experience. Every interaction is an opportunity, and every client is a partner with whom we build long-term relationships," Vasyl Bikus emphasized during the discussion.
