AUK student interns from the first cohort of AUK global internship program held an action in New York to raise awareness and funds for the victims of russian terrorist attacks on Ukrainian cities on July 8, 2024.
Together with AUK President Dan Rice, they made a rally to draw attentiion to ruthless russian attacks and the need for donations for the victims.
“Today, my colleagues and I, as interns, organized a street fundraising event to support the children who survived the bombings at the Okhmadyt Child Hospital. It has always been incredibly important to me to support my country, even from abroad. Through these efforts, I aim to gather donations and spread awareness about the ongoing needs of Ukraine.
I am deeply grateful for everyone’s support today. Your contributions make a significant difference in the lives of those affected. The war is not over, and we must continue to support Ukraine and its people in every way we can," stressed Sofiia Hordiiyenko, AUK bachelor’s student, Global Management program.
"I always dreamed of a photo in Times Square, but I never thought it would be like this. Today, we have drawn people's attention to Ukraine and raising funds for Okhmatdyt. The understanding is that nobody, except ourselves, will save Ukraine. But we need to speak, try to get the point across and explain why help is needed. Everything is in our hands," emphasized Khrystyna Ivanchuk, AUK bachelor’s student, Business Administration program.
We are deeply proud of our students who demonstrate strong and conscious resilience and support for their country!
