We recently had the privilege of hosting Mason Clark, a National Security Fellow at the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) and a leading analyst on Russia and the war in Ukraine, during our AUK Talks titled “War, Strategy, Future: Lessons from Ukraine.” This insightful event took place at the AUK Campus in partnership with the Kyiv International Economic Forum (KMEF).

In an open dialogue with students, Mason shared his valuable perspectives on how the war in Ukraine is evolving and how Russia is adapting its military strategies. He discussed the dynamic developments in the war and their implications for future military engagements, as well as provided insights into Russia's military capabilities and strategic adjustments in light of current events. The conversation also highlighted the importance of Ukraine's cooperation with the EU, emphasizing how these relationships will influence future security dynamics.

Oleksii Shershnov, AUK Vice President, moderated the discussion and facilitated an engaging dialogue with students.

Mason Clark, who led ISW’s Russia team from 2020 to 2023, is recognized for his expertise in Russian military operations and has contributed to numerous publications on war and strategy. His commentary is frequently featured in major international media outlets, including the BBC and CNN.
