The Day of the National Flag is a reminder of the path our people have taken – from struggle to resilience. The flag that unites generations is today a witness to the sacrifice and bravery of Ukrainians around the world.
At American University Kyiv, we are proud that the blue and yellow flag is flying next to us – in Kyiv and far across the ocean. For the second time, the Ukrainian flag was presented during the ceremonial procession at the ASU Graduate Commencement Ceremony 2025. Our flag flies alongside the flags of other countries, demonstrating that education and solidarity help preserve national identity.
May this day strengthen our unity, add faith in victory, and efforts for the revival of Ukraine.
We strongly believe in Ukrainian defenders and that only the Ukrainian flag will fly over all of Ukraine.
