From February 8-16, Whistler and Vancouver, Canada, are hosting the first-ever Winter Hybrid Invictus Games 2025. These Games are supported by leading organizations from across Canada, as well as approximately 1,600 volunteers from around the world. And for the first time in the history of the games, the Ukrainian national team won medals in all winter sports.
On the fourth day of the competition, our athletes took all three prizes in the standing ski race (INO2 class). Volodymyr Marchenko, a veteran and MGM student, won the "gold", covering the distance in 3:02.80 minutes.

Volodymyr Marchenko joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in February 2022, served in the 112th Brigade and was a platoon commander of the 244th Battalion. He was wounded in June 2022 as a result of enemy artillery fire in the Luhansk region while restraining the enemy offensive on Lysychansk. At the front, he suffered a severe traumatic brain injury, was in a coma for two weeks, then spent many months of rehabilitation. In September 2024, he became a student of the Global Management Master's program at AUK.
