On behalf of AUK team, we congratulate Dan Rice, AUK President, on receiving the 2023 Helen C. Bailey Award from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education (Penn GSE).
The University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) is ranked #1 in the US for graduate education. The Helen C. Bailey Award is one of Penn GSE’s Education Alumni Awards to annually recognize and honor the outstanding impact of graduates working across the field of education and around the globe. Every year UPenn chooses one graduate who has brought distinction to the University from the 18,000 alumni. The recipient of this award must have made a distinctive contribution to the field of education and positive changes to the society.
“I’m very honored to receive this award. Personally, I believe this is not an individual award for myself. This is the University of Pennsylvania’s way of honoring the American University Kyiv and the Ukrainian people who these days are fighting for the independence of their country and values of all democratic world. I am extremely happy to being able to contribute my expertise and knowledge to Ukraine’s resistance and hope to do my best for further recovery of Ukraine” – stressed AUK President Dan Rice.
Mr. Rice attended the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education (GSE) for both Master’s and Doctoral classes.
