It's time to officially announce it - today is operational opening of the first truly American University in Ukraine – American University Kyiv! This is a historical moment and a great starting point for a big story of the university in Ukraine.
American University Kyiv (AUK) has a big purpose – to educate leaders of the future, address societal challenges through research and collaboration, and act as a catalyst for social transformation of Ukraine. It started as an idea and now this dream came true.
On February 3rd, American University Kyiv conducted its Operational Opening together with the leading businessmen, governmental authorities, opinion leaders, and representatives of educational institutions of Ukraine. At the ceremony “AMERICAN UNIVERSITY KYIV LEADERS TALK” we talked about the importance of education for the growth of Ukraine and its strength in the global arena. And most importantly we together started our institution and made it open for future students in March 2022.
American University Kyiv is standing on a significant partnership ground. Being powered by Arizona State University, we believe in solid cooperation here in Ukraine. And we are happy and thankful to all our partners and friends who support us on this breathtaking path.
On Thursday we had an opportunity to say “thank you” personally, especially to our honor speakers at the AUK Operational Opening event – Kurt Volker, Andy Hunder, Michael Crow, Maxim Timchenko, Yury Antaniuk, Sergii Voitsekhovskyi, Оleksii Shershnov, R.F. Rick Shangraw, Roman Sheremeta, and the mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko. We really appreciate your support! And for all the guests invited – thank you for being part of our operational opening! It was unforgettable!
