Leading experts from Ukraine, Europe, and the US gathered at the Forum on Education Policy, which was hosted as part of Ukrainian Week. Washington DC. The forum's primary panel discussions covered topics such as the role of education in strengthening statehood and international cooperation, educational innovations, Ukraine's integration into the global scientific community, the role of STEM, and the importance of the spiritual education of youth.
Sergiy Tytenko, Deputy Dean of the EPAM School of Digital Technologies, took part in the panel discussion "Ukrainian STEM: Quo vadis?" dedicated to Ukrainian-American cooperation in STEM. The discussion covered Ukraine's prospects in global science and technology and opportunities for innovative breakthroughs.

“Ukraine, which has been the cradle for many IT startups, possesses strong human capital with highly skilled professionals in exact sciences and engineering. Ukraine is a strategic asset that must work in alliance with the free world, particularly with the United States. Losing Ukraine to the Russian empire or China is unacceptable.
Therefore, strengthening international cooperation in STEM is a critical task for reinforcing Ukraine, which, among other benefits, will contribute to the innovative development of defense technologies and global security. American University Kyiv serves as one of the pathways for implementing such collaboration. As a representative of the IT industry and CTO at Empat, I deeply recognize Ukraine’s potential as a powerhouse for engineering and the exact sciences”, emphasized Sergiy Tytenko.
