Celebrating Excellence: AUK’s Master’s Students Defend Their Capstone Projects

This May, 43 students from the American University Kyiv across our Kyiv and Dnipro campuses reached a major milestone. We are particularly proud to celebrate the first-ever graduating cohort from our AUK Dnipro Campus — a historic achievement for our community!

Our graduates from the MGM, MTLAI, and MSE programs presented capstone projects that bridge academic rigor with real-world impact. The scope of their research highlights the adaptability and innovation of today’s leaders:

• Software Engineering (MSE): Focus on AI-powered learning platforms, learning analytics, automated assessment, cloud-based machine learning systems, sentiment analysis, university scheduling optimization, and computational creativity.
• Global Management, Technology Leadership&AI (MGM, MTLAI): Strategies for business resilience during wartime, AI integration in healthcare, data-driven marketing, and leadership strategies for navigating uncertainty.

"The defenses brought together a strong academic and professional discussion, with the participation of internationally recognized experts and industry-oriented reviewers," noted Sergiy Tytenko, Deputy Dean of the EPAM School of Digital Technologies.

"It was inspiring to see how our students combined rigorous engineering thinking with practical implementation and real-world relevance. We are proud of our Master of Software Engineering students and excited to see the results of their academic and applied work contributing to the future of software engineering."

Hanna Shvindina, Associate Professor at the AUK School of Management, added,
