On behalf of AUK team, we congratulate AUK President Dan Rice on receiving the Honorable Order of Saint Barbara from the United States Field Artillery Association (USFAA) at the Ukrainian Institute of America, New York. This is high recognition for his efforts to acquire cluster munitions for Ukraine.
The Honorable Order of Saint Barbara recognizes those individuals who have demonstrated the highest standards of integrity and moral character; displayed an outstanding degree of professional competence; served the United States Army or Marine Corps Field Artillery with selflessness; and contributed to the promotion of the Field Artillery in ways that stand out in the eyes of the recipient's seniors, subordinates and peers alike.
While receiving this Honorable Order, Dan Rice, AUK President, outlined: “I was glad to lead the effort to get cluster munitions and grateful for all of those who contributed including Ukrainians, Americans, Turks and others. Special thanks to Representative McCaul, Chair of House Foreign Relations and his staff, Senator Reed, Chair Senate Armed Services and his staff, Dr Liudmyla Dolhonovska, General Petraeus, Erin Burnett CNN, and others.
We can never do enough for the brave Ukrainian troops defending democracy every day and hope in some way our efforts are helping them achieve victory. Please keep the soldiers and their families in your prayers and ask congress to give Ukraine the weapons it needs to win.”
The Order of Saint Barbara is a military honor society of the US for both the US Army and the US Marine Corps Artillery, including Field Artillery and Air Defense Artillery. It is awarded through the U.S. Field Artillery Association (USFAA) and the Air Defense Artillery Association (ADAA) and has two levels: The Honorable Order of Saint Barbara and The Ancient Order of Saint Barbara.
